Every time one of my daughters has a birthday, I buy myself flowers.

Because I am proud of myself and who I’ve become. Because my life changed dramatically when I became a mother and when I became a mother again. Because I have grown as a person while I’ve watched these little persons grow.

Such life-altering events demand to be acknowledged. Even if it’s just with flowers. That I bought for myself.
